Brad Paisley’s “American Saturday Night” Becomes a Presidents Day Chart-Topper
|
Paisley 16th #1 Single Becomes His 12th in a Row, Including Three from His American Saturday Night Album
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 15, 2010
Nashville, TN – Superstar Brad Paisley celebrates Presidents Day in style today as his all-American smash, “American Saturday Night,” marches into the #1 spot on the Mediabase country airplay chart, becoming his 12th consecutive #1 single and the 16th of his career.
Paisley’s dozen in a row – based on country airplay as charted by BDS or Mediabase – vaults him further into the record books, second only to country legend Sonny James as the solo country artist with the most consecutive #1 singles in country chart history.
“American Saturday Night” follows “Welcome to the Future” and “Then” as the third chart-topping single from Paisley’s widely acclaimed American Saturday Night album, which ranked as TIME magazine’s 2009 #1 album of the year in any genre of music.
Paisley is currently on the road with his American Saturday Night Tour and will be performing on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! this Wednesday, February 17. This week, the tour continues with a stop in Fresno, CA, on Thursday, followed by the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 19, Las Vegas on the 20th, and Reno on Sunday.
