Current Single “Way Out Here” Is Top 15 And Climbing

Columbia Nashville’s Josh Thompson may have just wrapped up Brad Paisley’s H20 World Tour this past weekend, but the hard-working Wisconsin native has no plans to slow down anytime soon. This evening, Josh will perform at the 6th Annual “Stars For Second Harvest” benefit concert at the historic Ryman Auditorium. The concert is hosted by acclaimed songwriter Craig Wiseman and features unplugged acoustic performances by some of music’s biggest stars, including Chris Young, Uncle Kracker, esteemed songwriters Mac McAnally and Tony Mullins and comedian Henry Cho. The benefit will help raise awareness of hunger issues in the Nashville. In the last five years, this event has raised $326,695 total to feed the hungry in Middle Tennessee.

“I've been hearing about this show that Craig Wiseman puts on for Second Harvest for years now! I am honored to actually be a part of it,” Josh says of tonight’s event. “It's the perfect situation – acoustic songs at the Ryman with a great line up and all for an awesome cause. Can't get much better than that!”

Thompson will quickly get back on the road, joining Hank Jr., Jamey Johnson and Colt Ford on the Rowdy Friend Tour, which kicks off this Friday, Oct 1 in Birmingham, AL. His current single, “Way Out Here,” is climbing the charts and hit the Top 15 on the Mediabase Country chart this week!
