Nashville, TN – Sea Gayle/Arista Nashville recording artist Jerrod Niemann recently hit #1 on the country airplay charts with his smash single, “Lover, Lover,” and the success continues with word that “Lover, Lover” has earned RIAA certification as a Gold Digital Single. It’s just one more exciting event for Niemann, who co-produced his major label debut, Judge Jerrod & The Hung Jury, which entered Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart at #1 in July and has remained among the nation’s Top 3 country best-sellers since its release.
Niemann also earns a spotlight in People magazine’s music section this week (in the August 13 issue, on stands now), with a fun look at “5 Things You Need to Know About” Jerrod, while Blair Garner’s “The Buzz” page in the August 23 Country Weekly (on sale now), features Jerrod recalling a great story from several years ago surrounding his first taste of success, writing with Garth Brooks.
After a quick stop in Nashville last week that included a performance on the Grand Ole Opry, Niemann is maintaining a busy schedule on the road, and he’ll be opening Gary Allan’s “Get Off on the Pain Tour” beginning September 9.
Today, Niemann, along with Miranda Lambert, are the first artists announced to join Dierks Bentley at Nashville’s Riverfront Park on October 17 to play the benefit concert for Bentley’s fifth annual “Miles & Music for Kids” celebrity motorcycle ride and concert event. Several ticket packages are available beginning August 20 through Ticketmaster. Sponsored by Nationwide Insurance, all proceeds from the event will benefit the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
