The Henningsens’ Self-Titled Digital EP Releases May 28, Featuring Their Hit Debut Single, “American Beautiful”
Last week, Arista Nashville family recording trio The Henningsens paid a call on Public School 22 in Graniteville, Staten Island, New York, for a visit and performance with the talented fifth graders of the acclaimed PS22 Chorus. The chorus joined The Henningsens for a rendition of the trio’s hit debut single, “American Beautiful,” as well as a cover of this week’s #1 Billboard Pop Songs radio airplay smash, Justin Timberlake’s “Mirrors.”
Both performances debuted online today, with “Mirrors” attracting fast attention with a story online at RyanSeacrest.com (/bit.ly/17ZwDmZ ) and a tweet from On Air/Ryan Seacrest (@OnAirWithRyan) declaring, “We dare you not get emotional watching the kids of @PS22Chorus cover Justin Timberlake’s (@JTimberlake) ‘Mirrors’.”
Earlier today, a tweet from The Henningsens (@TheHenningsens) offered, “The @PS22Chorus is such an inspiration! We had so much fun covering @jtimberlake’s ‘Mirrors’ with them! So talented!!”

“American Beautiful,” The Henningsens’ debut single from their self-titled May 28 digital EP release, is #17 and #18, respectively, this week on the Country Aircheck and Billboard country airplay charts.
A family band consisting of Clara Henningsen (lead vocals, guitar), Aaron Henningsen (guitar, vocals), and their father Brian Henningsen (bass, guitar, vocals), the trio is currently on tour among the special guests on Brad Paisley’s Beat This Summer Tour presented by Cracker Barrel Old Country Store®.
On their May 28 Arista Nashville debut, helmed by four-time GRAMMY®-winning producer Paul Worley (Lady Antebellum, Martina McBride), The Henningsens showcase a sound that is fresh, vibrant, and uniquely their own, with Clara’s expressive and inviting vocals center stage, together with gorgeous family harmonies, compelling songcraft, and vivid storytelling.
Each of the tracks on the four-song EP was co-written by The Henningsens, together with some of Nashville’s top tunesmiths, including Lisa Carver, Don Poythress, Jimmy Yeary, and Brett Beavers, with whom The Henningsens penned “American Beautiful.”
