NASHVILLE – (March 12, 2007) Two-time Grammy winner Carrie Underwood will become the fifth country music artist (Garth, Faith Hill, Dixie Chicks, Keith Urban) to appear in the past 20 years on Saturday Night Live when she performs on March 24. Underwood will sing hits from her 5 million selling album SOME HEARTS.
Underwood’s career has garnered 2 Grammy Awards, 2 Country Music Association Awards, 2 Academy of Country Music Awards, 2 CMT Awards, 2 People’s Choice Awards, 8 Billboard Awards and more since winning American Idol in May 2005. She will spend time in the studio this spring recording her sophomore album due out later this year.
Super Bowl MVP Peyton Manning will host March 24.
