SPARKART DEVELOPS HIGH-TECH WEBSITE FOR FANS
Emeryville, California—(January 4, 2007) Sparkart, a high-tech creative design boutique catering to high-profile entertainers, has developed a sophisticated online fan website for Carrie Underwood, www.CarrieUnderwood.fm, the Country Music Association’s Female Vocalist of the Year and one of the country’s most successful artists.
In collaboration with 19 Entertainment, Clique Inc., a subsidiary of Sparkart LLC, has created a fan club site as well as developing online collateral programs to support marketing and merchandising enterprises for the popular singer.
The trendsetting website presents a compelling, exciting environment for fans to get engaged in her career and focused on the Carrie Underwood experience.
The fan club site includes a general segment when fans log-in to www.CarrieUnderwood.fm, which displays news, photos, events and announcements. From there, users can register or log-in to the official Carrie Underwood Fan Club, which displays blogs from Carrie and other exclusive content, message boards, chat, information regarding concert ticket pre-sales and meet & greets, and a variety of private online activities and information for fan club members only.
"The buzz in the entertainment industry is that new online technologies are driving new opportunities for artists that never existed previously," said Naveen K. Jain, president and CEO of Sparkart. "This site is all about making it easy for Carrie to connect with her passionate fans."
Carrie Underwood’s career has skyrocketed as sales of her debut album, “Some Hearts,” have reached more than four million copies. Three of her singles, “Jesus, Take the Wheel.” “Don’t Forget to Remember Me” and “Before He Cheats” have reached the top of the country radio charts. She is the only solo female artist to top the Billboard country chart in 2006, and she also leads as the artist with the most cumulative weeks at #1 on the R&R country charts.
Underwood is currently nominated for Favorite Female Singer and Favorite Country Song (for “Jesus, Take the Wheel”) at the People’s Choice, a fan-voted award show airing January 9, 2007.
Sparkart enhances the development of brands and content for Warner Bros. Records, Universal Music Group, Island Def Jam, Eminem, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Linkin Park, Madonna, the Killers, Alicia Keys and Interscope Records.
It acts as a fan club facilitator and marketer, overseeing fan club sites, generating content for artists, directing marketing programs, and offering online merchandising. Its platform is used to power everything from street teams for Warner Bros. Records (The Street Network) and Capitol Records (Capitol Street Team) to e-commerce stores for artists.
