Fans Travel across the Continent to See the Duo in Concert
Nashville, TN – Superstar duo Brooks & Dunn marked the final show of their sold-out tour of Australia, playing for 12,500 fans on a Monday night (March 10) at the Acer Arena, in Sydney, NSW. Beginning February 29, with back-to-back dates at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, followed by a March 5 performance in Melbourne and then on to Sydney, the duo’s first tour of Australia was met with open arms.
Reports from the road have included multiple stories of dedicated fans who weren’t about to miss their chance to see Brooks & Dunn in concert, including one group who drove seven hours to Perth, only to then board a plane to get to the Melbourne show.
While in Australia, in addition to the excitement surrounding the tour, the duo was presented with a plaque commemorating more than 450,000 units in career sales Down Under, as well as a Gold album for their latest release, Cowboy Town, which just climbed to #2 on the Australian country chart and leaps from #60 to #30 on the pop chart.
The duo also appeared on Australia’s #1 morning television program, Weekend Sunrise, where they performed “Proud of the House We Built,” the first smash single from Cowboy Town. Stateside, the duo is high on the charts with the album’s second single, “God Must Be Busy."
